Since the day I joined the New Venture family as a staff member many years ago, I have thanked God each day for this blessing in my life. In 1999, I began searching for a church home and followed the recommendations of a couple friends. After trying several others, I visited New Venture Christian Fellowship where I felt the spirit move and connected to Pastor Shawn’s message. I prayed for the Lord to lead where my church home was going to be and in the end, felt led to NVCF! I love Pastor Shawn’s preaching – how he can take Scripture and make it relevant in today’s life…in MY life. With my Catholic background, this was the first time I actually understood Scripture and felt as though I could apply the teachings to my life.

Later, I was blessed with my daughter. When she turned a year old, I needed to go back to work and couldn’t think of anywhere else to bring her for nurturing, caring, Christian love and teachings except for New Venture. She is growing up now, and loves New Venture right along with me – the church, school, fellowship, friends, family and the Lord, all here at New Venture Christian Fellowship. I enjoy my job and feel so blessed to be working in the Business Office and Human Resources.

Phrase to describe yourself in High School: A cop’s daughter :) – My Dad would drive me to school in the police car and would drop me off right where the buses would drop off kids. I would beg him to please drop me off down the street a little, but he would tell me to get out of the car before he turns on the sirens.

Phrase to describe yourself now: I’m so blessed!!

Something we’d never guess about you: Either I lived in Tijuana for 2 years or that I had a Rottweiler and a Pit Bull.
