It is very exciting to have the opportunity to be even a small part of the ministry at New Venture. As a Marriage and Family Therapist I have the unique privilege of walking through difficult experiences and seasons of life with my clients. I am constantly in awe of how God uses these experiences to bring deep healing and renewed freedom to the lives of His people. I feel very passionate about creating a safe and authentic counseling environment where individuals, couples and families can explore their lives and the unique challenges they face without fear of judgment or ridicule. I believe the counseling process can bring insight, resolution and renewed hope that allows us to move from destructive patterns and relational cycles into freedom, forgiveness and restoration. I have worked with many individuals struggling with depression and anxiety; families challenged by marriage conflict, single parenting and teen issues and have extensive experience in the area of addiction and recovery. I have taught classes in parenting, anger management, domestic violence, boundaries, adult development and healthy body image. Along with my education and professional knowledge I bring my own experience of being married for 29 years and raising two children. It is a blessing to help the church family at New Venture grow in God in all these essential areas.
