I was blessed to join New Venture as the church’s first Director of Communications. I have enjoyed growing in that position through the years, contributing to the development of new ministry under Pastor Shawn’s inspiring leadership and alongside some of the most creative and blessed staff.

As an artist with a heart for ministry, I have the rare privilege of combining a passion for Communications with a passion for (and the inspiration of) the Gospel. My job is to “multiply ministry,” holding a microphone to New Venture’s people and pastors in what I consider a modern day translation of the Great Commission (to “go and make disciples of all nations” Matthew 28:19 or to “go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15). How do we accomplish that in today’s world? By fluently, excellently speaking our nation’s primary language: Media. Through all avenues, whether print, radio, video, press, graphics, marketing, public relations or special events, the Communications Department further equips New Venture to “reach each home in our region,” “touch our world with the Gospel” and “help people find Christ and live life to its fullest.” I love my job.

Favorite Bible Verse:
"From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us." Acts 17:26&27

Favorite Book: Just one? Anything by Stegner or Steinbeck or Bill Bryson for dessert. As a kid: Island of the Blue Dolphins and The Secret Garden. Christian reading: BLUE LIKE JAZZ or anything by Brennan Manning.

Something we’d never guess about you: I’ve sung for the circus. I chased a car thief down the street in the middle of the night…twice.
