As the Director of Venture Sports & Recreation, my goal is to fulfill the church’s mission to Reach, Teach & Release by helping others get fit & active in supportive Christian settings, while bringing Biblical principles into their lives. After attending the University of Southern California (1981-85) I devoted much of my time working with youths in both Los Angeles and San Diego Counties as a counselor, mentor and Probation Officer, and leading a weekly Bible Study for North County High School football players during football season. As a retired professional football player (San Diego Chargers, Los Angeles Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs) currently working as a District Administrator in the Oceanside Unified School District, I’m inspired by the enthusiasm at New Venture for all the sports programs that are drawing people closer to others and to God. |
