Women’s Connection…

Fulfilling a Desire for Relationships
Women have a natural desire for relationships. Women’s Connection offers a variety of opportunities for that to happen, as well as to challenge, encourage and equip you to grow in your relationship with God – an even greater desire that God has put within us.

The mission of Women’s Connection expresses New Venture’s Mission Statement (REACH People for Christ, TEACH People the Things of Christ, RELEASE People to the Work of Christ) by addressing the needs of women of all ages, backgrounds and station in life:

REACH
Quarterly Friendship Breakfasts – a great time to meet other ladies in our church.  Whether you’re a 1st time visitor who wants to know more about NVCF and what it means to be a God-follower, or long-time NVCF member… you are welcome!

Daytime Play Groups for moms & their little ones, Bowling Nights and the Evening of Elegance – an annual favorite with each table is decorated in a style unique to the host, special music & guest speaker are also offered.

TEACH
6-week Bible Studies are offered throughout the year, with a break during the summer and holidays.  Studies include video-based teaching along with Small Group discussion & encouragement based on the teaching  as well as our weekend message.

Women’s Small Groups are also offered, meeting in homes throughout North County.

RELEASE
Serving is a natural response as we experience the grace and goodness of God in our lives.  
– The KniTogether Group meets as a Small Group to share their love of knitting & crocheting by making caps & blankets for hospital neo-natal infants and lap blankets for seniors in nursing homes.
– The Meals Ministry provides a week of meals to those in our church family who may be
homebound, lost a loved one, sick, or new mothers.

Women’s Connection Special Events
Bible Studies
Weekly Bible Studies are offered throughout the year, with a break during the summer and holidays. Larger Group Bible Studies are also offered at different times during the year.

Friendship Breakfasts
These gatherings take place at the church and offer a greattime to enjoy a delicious breakfast, be encouraged & hear upcoming events! The Friendship Breakfast is a great opportunity for women of all ages to meet others whether you are new to New Venture or longtime member!

Evening of Elegance
This elegant evening of dining is an annual favorite in Spring, with each table decorated in a style unique to the host. The evening also features special music
and a guest speaker.

Night of Worship
This special evening of praise & worship is followed by fellowship, a cookie “pot luck,” hot cider, tea & coffee. The gathering usually takes place in the weeks following Thanksgiving.

The KniTogether Group

Women Knitting and Crocheting for a Purpose!
The KniTogether Group extends God’s love to our community through hand knitted/crocheted blankets, caps and booties for newborns in neo-natal care at hospitals; afghans for seriously ill patients at senior facilities; and blankets for Seniors in our church, nursing homes and hospice patients in our community.
